Fixes a problem in the Macintosh version where male subjects are described as female in the printout, the results printed were, however, correct. The Windows version of the software does not suffer this problem and is therefor not changed.

Provides separate risk estimates and 95% confidence intervals for fatal
coronary heart disease and fatal stroke. The printout of risk estimates
for MacOS and Windows has been improved. Support has been added for PocketPC
machines.

Fixes a minor issue with the help button on machines using Internet Explorer
as the default browser on the Windows platform. Suppresses innapropriate
reporting of risk estimated for subjects aged less than 20 at diagnosis.

Accepts lipid levels in mg/dl as well as mmol/l. Provides a graphical
display of risk estimates. Calculates confidence intervals on a logistic
scale to avoid values exceeding 100% or becoming negative. Now available
for PalmOS and Macintosh platforms.

First release of the UKPDS Risk Engine program and Excel Spreadsheet.
These provide risk estimates and 95% confidence intervals for coronary
heart disease and stroke in individuals with type 2 diabetes not known
to have heart disease. Risk estimates can be calculated for any given
disease duration based on age, sex, ethnicity, smoking status, presence
or absence of atrial fibrillation and levels of HbA1c, systolic blood
pressure, total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol.
