Professor Rury Holman presented the recently released results of the ACE trial at a series of meetings with senior endocrinologists and cardiologists in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Wuhan and Guangzhou between Sep 24th and 28th. The Beijing Summit meeting, with two-way video links to 20 other Chinese cities, was compèred by the Chinese journalist, Yang Lan. When talking with Professor Holman, in addition to the ACE trial findings, she took a particular interest in what had been achieved as a result of the 10 year academic cooperation between China and the University of Oxford, as well as the implications of the study findings for people in China and globally.
